Study Modules

The following may qualify for registration for the MSc. programme in Oil & Gas:

  • Candidates with bachelor’s degrees in petroleum & Gas Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or Gas Engineering or its equivalent from an approved university must obtain a minimum of second-class lower division with a CGPA of 3.0/5.0 for an academic programme
  • Graduates of the Nile University of Nigeria or other recognized universities with Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Engineering, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), degree in science or any numerate discipline or its equivalent with at least second Class Honours and a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 5.0-point scale or 2.45 on a 4.0-point scale, provided the University matriculation requirements are satisfied.
  • Candidates with at least a third-class degree or HND and university PGD with a CGPA of 3.0/.5.0 may be considered for admission into academic master’s degree programmes
  • Professionals with other qualifications and a minimum of three years of relevant industrial experience may also be considered.
  • A candidate with an Upper Credit pass in Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), in a relevant Engineering discipline, from a recognised University may also be admitted to the MSc. degree program, provided the University matriculation requirements are satisfied.
