Nile University Welcomes 3107 Students in 14th Matriculation Ceremony, Revives Students Clubs

Nile University of Nigeria held its 14th Annual Matriculation Ceremony on Tuesday April 18, with 2,325 undergraduates and 782 postgraduate students taking oaths of matriculation across the six faculties of the institution.

The Vice Chancellor of Nile University of Nigeria, Prof. Dilli Dogo, in his welcome address to all guests present, congratulated the matriculating students on their successful enrollment into the various programs in the institution.

Prof. Dogo stated that “Nile University as a member of the Honoris United Universities Network is committed to providing first class learning environment and an exceptional academic experience within a serene environment, which is why the university has in the last one year, continued to invest massively in infrastructure, equipment upgrade and procurements as well as staff development.”

The Vice Chancellor further listed some ongoing projects that the school is working on to improve students’ experiences, such as the construction of a STEM Laboratory Complex, a Medical Simulation Centre, Academic Blocks, and a 2500 capacity bedspace for both male and female students’ lodging.

While thanking the Honoris Group for its demonstrated investment in its vision of establishing a world-class university that will positively impact the continent and the next generation, the Vice Chancellor also reaffirmed Nile University’s commitment to working with partner organizations and regulatory bodies such as the NUC, MDCN, and COREN to ensure academic quality control.

The highpoint of the 14th matriculation was the ceremonial induction and oath taking by the matriculating students, who were dressed in vibrant academic robes.

Among the side attractions at the celebration were an array of students’ club tents set up for the welcoming and registration of new students, encouraging them to actively participate in the lineup of extracurricular activities, as well as supporting tents from Showmax entertainment and Red Bull Energy Drink company which added fun and colour to the 14th Matriculation Ceremony.
