Study Modules

Entry requirements for the M.Sc. Information Technology Programme are as follows:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science Mathematics, Statistics, or relevant programmes from an approved institution with an average grade point (CGPA) of 2.50/5.0 or equivalent.
  • Candidates with a university degree in third class or HND plus a university PGD at credit level pass, (i.e., CGPA of 2.50/5.0) or 50% on weighted percentage average may be considered for admission in the program.
  • Demonstrated intellectual capacity, maturity, and effective decision-making and problem-solving potential.
  • Candidates with a university degree in third class or HND plus a university PGD with a CGPA less than 2.5/5.0 may require some work experience before he/she can be considered for admission in the programme.

Method of Application:

The following documents are required for admission into the M.Sc. programme:

  • Submission of a completed Application Form, together with relevant certificates
  • Submission of original transcripts of all academic work completed at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Submission of three letters of recommendation. The three letters of recommendation should come from persons in the field of the applicant’s academic major or area of concentration. These should preferably come from professors/lecturers sufficiently acquainted with the student to comment on the student’s potential to complete the M.Sc. programme.
