Nile University Hosts Delegation from the Nigerian Economic Society, Pledge Support for Upcoming NES Conference

A team from the Nigerian Economic Society (NES), the largest professional body of Economists in Nigeria, visited Nile University on August 6 to discuss collaboration between both organizations on the upcoming Annual Conference of the Nigerian Economic Society. The NES delegation comprised Prof. Sarah Anyanwu (President, NES) and Prof. Oyinlola Olaniyi (Chairman, Local Organizing Committee). The conference, which is billed to hold on October 24th, 25th, 26th, and 29th, 2021 will involve high-profile collaborators and sponsors like the Central Bank of Nigeria, Ministry of Finance, among others.

The Nile University officials that were present at the event included Prof. Osman Nuri Aras (Vice-Chancellor), Assoc. Prof. Gylych Jelilov (Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences), Prof. Ebele Amali (Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies), and Dr. Nargiza Alymkulova (HoD, Economics Department).
