Nile University Delegation Visits NCC; Discusses Postgraduate Studies and Potential Collaboration

A delegation from Nile University of Nigeria, led by Miss. Ijeoma Ezima (Marketer/PRO, School of Postgraduate Studies) and Dr. Sadiq Thomas (HOD, Computer Engineering), visited the headquarters of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on October 30. The visit had two main objectives: to market the University’s Postgraduate programs to the organization’s staff and discuss a potential MoU between Nile University and the NCC.

Delivering her presentation to the NCC team, constituted predominantly of high level officials in the organization’s Human Capital department, Miss. Ezinma talked about the attractive discounts available to professionals (especially those that come in groups from private or public institutions) at Nile University’s School of Postgraduate Studies. According to her, the University offers 10% discount (per person) to a group of 3-5 individuals from the same organization, 20% discount (per person) to a group of  6-10 people from the same organization, etc.

She also highlighted the flexible class schedule of the University’s School of Postgraduate Studies, which is designed to ensure that students’ studies do not interfere with their careers. Following Miss Ezinma’s presentation, Dr. Thomas proposed a MoU between Nile University and the NCC, especially in IT-related fields which is the latter’s forte, to the hosts. According to him, Nile University’s students (especially those in the Computer Engineering Department) will benefit a great deal from learning from the NCC’s highly experienced personnel.

The NCC team promised to take the proposals of the Nile University delegation to their organization’s management and provide the latter’s feedback as soon as it becomes available.
