Nile University of Nigeria held the 3rd edition of the Nile University Games from December 13-15, 2019. The tournament featured four universities (Nile University of Nigeria, Veritas University, Nasarawa State University, and Kaduna State University), who competed in four sports—football, basketball, volleyball, and table tennis. In what was a highly competitive competition, Nile University emerged as champions, winning three gold medals (basketball, volleyball, and table tennis) and one silver medal (football).
