Nile University HOD, Serial Research Expert Newly Published in Two High-Impact Journals

Nile University’s Mechanical Engineering Head of Department Engr. Dr. Adekunle  Adeleke is once again  published in two new high impact (Q2) journals of Taylors & Francis and the MDPI.

The academic and serial researcher whose recent work focused on multistage characterization techniques in developing an understanding of the abnormal casting behaviour of low carbon high manganese (LCHMn) in steel Ironmaking & Steelmaking, is indexed in SCI and SCOPUS rated as Q2.

Dr. Adeleke and his team also published another article in MDPI’s Journal of Composites Science. The Journal is indexed in SCI and SCOPUS rated as Q2. The study investigates the corrosion behavior of MMCs produced from Al 6063 matrix alloy with reinforcement particulates of silicon carbide (SiC) and palm kernel shell ash (PKSA) inclusion at different mix ratios.

In addition, the team’s Q4 paper in Petroleum and Coal Journal, which focused on optimizing briquetting parameters for lean-grade coal as a target for energy generation in thermal plants, was published and indexed on Scopus.

These three papers make up 14 top research works published by the Head of our Mechanical Engineering department this year. Dr. Adeleke is an ardent researcher with a focus on bioenergy, materials development, and characterization. He has active collaboration with researchers and scientists in India, the US, Canada, the UK, South Africa, Liberia, and Nigeria

The management of Nile University of Nigeria once again celebrates this feat by Engr. Dr. Adekunle  ADELEKE and his team of researchers.
