Nile University of Nigeria signed an MoU with Art for Humanity Foundation and AP Multimedia on November 18th, 2021. The event started with a welcome address by Nile University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Osman Nuri Aras, who expressed his delight about the partnerships. In his speech, he stated that “the goal of these MoUs is to bridge the gap between academics and industry by providing industry-standard training and mentorships to Nile University’s students to boost their employability.”
Following the Vice-Chancellor’s remarks, Isa Ali (Executive Director, AP Multimedia) stated his excitement at the opportunity to collaborate with Nile University, especially the university’s Mass Communication department. According to him, AP Multimedia is committed to mentoring and grooming Nile University’s Mass Communication students for industry readiness and international competitiveness. Mr. Isa Ali said, “With the Idea Next Project, we guide to let the students generate innovative ideas and solutions to problems.”
In his speech, Osaze Efe (Executive Director/Founder, Art for Humanity Foundation) highlighted the recent collaboration between the university’s Mass Communication department and his Foundation on the Abuja Photo Festival. Efe thanked the department’s HoD, Prof. Osman Koroglu, for his efforts in ensuring the success of the event, which, according to him, gave the participating students and photography enthusiasts valuable knowledge about photography, particularly the Hands-on Masterclass and seminar that was held during the event by ace professional photographers.
The event concluded with the official signing of the MoU by Prof. Aras, Isa Ali, and Osaze Efe. The Nile University team that attended the event included Prof. Osman Nuri Aras (Vice-Chancellor), Prof. Abdurrahman Isik (Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics), David Olowola (Registrar), Prof. Ebele Amali (Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies), Prof. Gylych Jelilov (Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences), Prof. Osman Koroglu (Head of Mass Communication Department). The delegation from the Art for Humanity Foundation comprised Osaze Efe (Executive Director/Founder), John Olawale, (Head, Virtual Engagements), Winnifred Eziuloh, (Head, Content Creation and Management). The AP Multimedia team that attended the event included Isa Ali, (Executive Director), Umar Abdullahi, (PRO), AddulRasheed Salau, (Secretary), Abdulkadir Akinsola, (Developer).
