Nile University Signs MoU with Voice of Nigeria

Nile University of Nigeria signed an MoU with Voice of Nigeria (VON) on October 25th, 2021. The event started with a welcome address by Nile University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Osman Nuri Aras, who acquainted the guests with Nile University’s offerings. According to him, the goal of the MoU is to bridge the gap between academics and industry by providing industry-standard training and mentorships to Nile University’s students to boost their employability.

Following the Vice-Chancellor’s remarks, Mr. Osita Okechukwu (Director-General, VON) stated his excitement at the opportunity to collaborate with Nile University, especially the university’s Mass Communication department. According to him, VON is committed to mentoring and grooming Nile University’s Mass Communication students for industry readiness and international competitiveness.

The event concluded with the official signing of the MoU by Prof. Aras and Mr. Okechukwu. The Nile University team that attended the event included Prof. Osman Nuri Aras (Vice-Chancellor), Prof. Abdurrahman Isik (Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics), Mr. Yasar Aktekin (Registrar), Prof. Ebele Amali (Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies), Prof. Gylych Jelilov (Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences). The VON team that was present at the event comprised Mr. Osita Okechukwu (Director-General), Mr. Andre Shadow Para (Director, Legal Services), Mr. Ben Adam Shemag (Director, Training), Mr. Tope Atte (Director, Human Resources), Hajia Sani (Director, Digital Media).
