Nile University of Nigeria Celebrates International Day of Peace

The International Day of Peace is a United Nations-approved holiday that is held globally on September 21st yearly. As an institution that values peace, Nile University actively promotes it through the offering of programs designed to facilitate peace building such as Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master of Science (M.Sc.), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Conflict Resolution, Peace and Strategic Studies (CPS). In 2021 alone, 32 students registered across the University’s various CPS programs (10 students for PGD CPS, 25 students for M.Sc. CPS, and 7 students for PhD CPS).

Since 2015, Nile University of Nigeria has awarded up to 95% scholarship to more than 150 PGD and M.Sc. CPS students from 61 respected organizations in Nigeria, including Federal and State institutions such as Federal Ministries (over 9 students), State Governments and Christian Associations (more than 9 students), Muslim Associations (over 9 students), Media, amongst others.
