Nile University Leverages Unibuddy to Promote Peer-led Marketing and Employability Skills Development

On August 10th, Nile University launched Unibuddy, a digital platform that drives student recruitment through peer-to-peer interactions online. Unibuddy connects potential students with a select and trained group of Nile University Student Ambassadors (known as “student buddies”) who provide these prospects with information about the University beyond the formal details available on the institution’s website.

Using Student Ambassadors to promote Nile University by sharing their university experiences— through the live chat tool as well as vlog and blog content on our Unibuddy page— is an effective way to attract the new generation of students who are sensitized to more sophisticated marketing, are digital media natives, and rely on authentic voices to inform their decision making. The adoption of Unibuddy highlights Honoris United Universities’ smart marketing approach through a strong online presence to efficiently attract and convert prospects from online sources.

In addition to increasing Nile University’s appeal to prospects, the Student Buddy program equips the participating students with vital 21st-century employability and leadership skills like creative thinking, effective communication, teamwork, etc. while promoting student engagement through increased interaction with staff, faculty, and peers.

Prospective students can chat with any of our 10 bright and passionate Student Buddies on the Unibuddy page on the Nile University website.
