Biography

Dr. Patrick C. Uwajeh is a Lecturer I and staff in the department of Architecture at Nile University of Nigeria.

Dr. Patrick C. Uwajeh obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka; Nigeria in 2009. He received a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus; Turkey in 2015. He also obtained a PhD degree in Architecture from the Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus; Turkey in 2019.

He was with the Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus; Turkey as a Research / Teaching Assistant between 2015-2018. He has over 5 years’ experience as a consultant and project manager in the construction industry and over 5 years’ experience garnered from research and Lecturing in the Academics. He has published several articles in international journals indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), refereed journals and conference papers in Nigeria, Turkey and the USA. He also served as an editorial board member for 4 years, working in the capacity of a copy editor for the International Journal of Contemporary Urban Affairs, (IJCUA) Turkey.

Research Interests

His research broadly explores Green Architecture (a novel area in sustainable development) and the application of therapeutic gardens as a landscape feature to improve well-being in healthcare facilities, as well as the built environment. His core research area focuses on Landscape and Nature-Based Design theory in healthcare design and Evidence-Based Design (EBD) strategies in architecture.
