Biography

Dr. Omotayo Oshiga is the Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Nile University of Nigeria. He is also an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

He received a B.Tech. degree in Physics Electronics from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State in 2010, and an M.Sc. degree in Wireless Communication Systems from Brunel University, London, UK in 2011. He received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Jacobs University, Bremen, Germany in February 2015. He was employed as Lecturer I in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja from 2015 to 2016. He went on to pursue his Postdoctoral Fellowship in Hong Kong with Hong Kong Baptist University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2016 to 2019.

His current research areas include estimation theory, signal processing, wireless sensor networks, indoor and outdoor positioning, tracking and navigation, wireless sensing etc..
