Biography

Dr. Menizibeya Osain Welcome is Senior Lecturer and the Acting Head of the Department of Human Physiology. He has established research collaboration with leading scientists across the globe, including the President and Founder of the World Scientific and Engineering Society and Academy, Athens, Greece. Dr. Welcome has earned many international awards and honors. He has served as Editor or Guest Editor in several international journals.

Dr. Welcome’s research interests include psychophysiological indices and glycemic allostasis of alcohol use and related problems among young adults; brain error monitoring and processing system; cellular, molecular and neurometaplastic signatures, underlying different behavioral patterns and cerebral lateralization in normal and neurobehavioural disorders; gut epithelial and blood brain barrier dysfunction in neuroinflammatory disorders and the therapeutic role of bioactive agents; role of central sweet and bitter taste receptors in cognitive processes, brain metabolism and neuroinflammation. He has successfully published several articles in Web of Science- and Scopus- indexed journals with impact factor.
