Engr. Dr. Abdulhameed Danjuma Mambo is currently a Professor, and Dean of Environmental Sciences, he is also the Head of Department (HOD), Civil Engineering, Nile University of Nigeria Abuja.
He obtained his B.Eng. degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Minna in January 2006. In December 2009, through the PTDF merit Scholarship, he completed his M.Sc. in Building Services Engineering with a Distinction from Loughborough University, United Kingdom. He gained the Loughborough University Ph.D. studentship in 2010 and completed his Ph.D. in Civil and Building Engineering in December 2013.
Dr. Abdulhameed started his engineering career as a Project Manager with IET Abuja from 2006 to 2008 where he managed the design, construction, and maintenance of several buildings in Abuja. Later, he was an Assistant Lecturer in Civil Engineering and a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Loughborough University UK working on Reinvent the Toilet Challenge funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for a period of about 3 years (2010-2013). He had a brief stint between 2015-2016 working for the UN-Habitat as an associate consultant on a project promoting energy and resource efficiency building codes for Nigeria.
His research interests include General Civil Engineering, Sustainable Infrastructure, Sustainable Construction, Building Energy Efficiency, Building Energy Management Systems, Smart Cities, and Artificial Intelligent Building Systems.
Engr. Dr. Abdulhameed Danjuma Mambo is a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, European Energy Centre, and World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies. He is a fellow of the Nigeria Institution of Civil Engineers and is fully registered as a Civil Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) since 2015.
