Ph.D. Petroleum and Gas Engineering - FAQs

The following may qualify for registration for the PhD program in Petroleum & Gas Engineering.

  • Master of Engineering (M.E) or Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Petroleum & Gas Engineering or related areas, with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.0 point scale or 3.00 on a 4.0 point scale, provided that the University matriculation requirements are satisfied and provided that satisfactory research work formed part of the Master’s degree;
  • Candidate who holds qualifications other than the above, acceptable to the Senate of the University.
  • Note that any candidate without satisfactory research work at the Masters level will not qualify for admission.
