Dr. Jacob Shagbaor Suemo is a thoroughly bred academic of with requisite training and experience in the practice and teaching of Mass Communication. He holds three degrees in mass communication (Ph.D., M.Sc., & B.Sc.) all from the prestigious Benue State University Makurdi. Dr. Suemo also has a Diploma in Theatre Arts with a distinction all form the Prestigious Benue State University Makurdi.
He is a member of several professional associations including Association of Communication Scholars & Professionals of Nigeria, African Council for Communication Education, Institute of Mass Communication and Information Management of Nigeria Nigerian Union of Journalists Benue State and the Haggai Leadership Institute respectively.
The young scholar currently has twenty seven (27) Journal articles, two (2) book chapters as well as two (2) book titles to his credit. He has attended several national and international conferences with equally engaging presentations.
Dr. Suemo is well travelled and some of the countries visited include, the United States of America, Germany, France, Togo, Mali, Guinea Bissau and Senegal.
The Communication Scholar was born into the family of Late Mr. Godwin Tyopapuu Suemo of Tarka Local Governement Area on the 17th August 1984 at NKST Hospital Mkar, in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.
He started his primary education at Robert F. Kennedy Nursery & Primary School Gboko in 1989 and rose progressively through secondary school to the University where his academic chase later climaxed with the award of Ph.D. in Mass Communication by the Benue State University in 2018 .
He is happily married to Mrs. Shekinah Iember Suemo and the Union is blessed with four children.
