Dr. Tologon Karataev is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Nile University of Nigeria. He is also a PG Coordinator of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. He is a member of IEEE.
He received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2003, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2007 and 2016, respectively. From 2016 to 2019, he was employed as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Microelectronic Systems, Gdansk University of Technology, Gdansk, Poland.
His current research areas include, Broadband Wireless Energy Harvesting (Rectifiers), Passive Microwave Circuits, Low-Noise Amplifiers, Microwave Filters, Matching Circuits; Metamaterials, Composite Right/Left-Handed Transmission Lines; Metaheuristic Optimization Applications (Cuckoo Search Optimization, Modified Cuckoo Search Optimization); Eureqa (Symbolic Regression).
