Dr. Sylvanus Gbendazhi Barnabas obtained the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in international human rights law from Northumbria University at Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom; he has a Master of Laws degree obtained with distinction in Environmental Law and Policy from University of Kent at Canterbury, Kent, United Kingdom; he also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria; and he is also a qualified a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria
