Nile University’s Vice-Chancellor Leads Delegation to NAPTIN, Discusses MoU and Strategic Partnership with Honoris

Earlier today, a delegation from Nile University comprising Prof. Osman Nuri Aras (VC), Prof. Steve Adeshina (DVC Admin), Dr. Sadiq Thomas (HOD Computer Engineering), and Dr. Omotayo Oshiga (HOD Electrical & Electronics Engineering) paid a courtesy visit to the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN), Abuja.

The visit was a follow-up on the MOU that was signed by both institutions on December 3, 2019, which offered, among other things discounts for NAPTIN’s staff currently studying at Nile University and internship opportunities at NAPTIN for Nile University’s students.

In his speech, during the visit, Prof. Aras addressed the strategic partnership Nile University recently entered with Honoris Universities United and the numerous benefits it promises for the country’s educational sector. He also commented on Nile University’s upcoming projects—in collaboration with Honoris United Universities— such as the expansion of physical structures and the commencement of full-time distance learning programs.

Responding to Prof. Aras’ comments, the Director-General of NAPTIN, Mr. Ahmed Bolaji Nagode MCIPM, MNIM, congratulated Nile University for its partnership Honoris United Universities. He also informed the Nile team of NAPTIN’s plan to open a power training centre at its corporate headquarters in Abuja, which will be of massive benefit to the Faculty of Engineering at Nile University.

The visit ended with a brief tour of the (NAPTIN) facility.
