Nile University Signs MoU with Abuja Global Shapers Community

Nile University of Nigeria signed an MoU with Abuja Global Shapers Community (Abuja GSC) on December 4th.   The GSC delegation at the signing ceremony was led by Mr. Johannes Tobi Wojuola (Curator).

The event commenced with the welcoming of the guests and a brief introduction of Nile University by Prof. Osman Nuri Aras (Vice-Chancellor). Subsequently, the Vice-Chancellor expressed his optimism that the MoU will help to create job opportunities for Nile University’s students.

Following Prof. Aras’ speech, Mr. Wojuola briefly introduced the Abuja Global Shapers Community. According to him, the Abuja GSC is an organization with a global experience and over 400 hubs worldwide. The organization, he continued, provides an avenue for top professionals in various sectors of Nigeria to come together to tackle pressing issues in the country. Among the Abuja GSC’s major initiatives, Mr. Wojuola stated, is the Emerging Leaders Program—a scheme that was established to fund the creative ideas of young entrepreneurs. He concluded his address by stating that the numerous benefits promised by the partnership between Nile University and Abuja GSC to students, including sponsorship opportunities for skill acquisition programs, funding for business ideas, among others. 

The program ended with the official signing of the MoU.
