The Basketball team of Nile University of Nigeria is currently in Ilorin, Kwara State, for the Division/Zonal Playoffs of the Total National Division 2 Men’s League. The Divisional/Zonal Playoffs is comprised of 74 teams (the top 2 teams from each of the country’s 36 states and the FCT). The Nile University team qualified for the Playoffs by finishing second place in the FCT State Preliminaries, a feat that was especially impressive given that it was the team’s first appearance in the competition.
The Divisional/Zonal Playoffs will hold from October 27-30 in Ilorin, Enugu, Abeokuta, Zaria, Yola, and Uyo. The teams that qualify from this stage will participate in the Conference Playoffs, billed to hold from November 8-15.
