Nile University Signs MoU with NIPRD

On Thursday, 29th April 2021, Nile University of Nigeria signs an MoU with the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD). Present at the event is a team from NIPRD led by Dr. Obi Adigwe (DG/CEO, NIPRD), Prof. Martins Emeje, Dr. Nneka Ibekwe, and Barrister Mustapha Iliyasu and a team from Nile University led by Prof Osman Nuri Aras (VC), Prof. Abdulrahman Isik (DVC), Mr. Yasar Aktekin (Registrar), and Prof. Moussam Boukar (Dean, Biochemistry).

The meeting commenced with the Vice Chancellor’s welcome remark where he expressed his gratitude to the NIPRD team for their presence. According to him, there is clear evidence that NIPRD has a positive intention towards the growth of education in Nigeria hence; the collaboration between Nile University and NIPRD will greatly improve the standard of education in Nile University.

Following the VC’s speech, Dr. Obi commented that the collaboration between Nile University and NIPRD will serve as a means of kick-starting joint efforts towards impacting the students of Nile University with 21st-century skills and experience. He added that before the official signing of the MoU between Nile and NIPRD, he and the members of his team had kick-started a high-level strategic process to ensure the establishment of faculty of pharmacy in the Nile University.

In conclusion, Dr. Obi encouraged the management not to relent in its effort to make the best education available to the students of Nile University and Nigeria as a whole.

The meeting ended with the official signing of the MoU and a group photograph.
