Nile University Signs MoU with NEXIM on graduate Employability

Nile University of Nigeria signed an MOU with Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) on 13th April 2021. In attendance at the MOU ceremony was a team from NEXIM led by Mr. Abubakar A. Bello (Managing Director, NEXIM), Dr. Bala M. Bello (Executive Director, NEXIM), Mr. Olatayo Omidiji (Deputy General Manager, NEXIM), and Mr. Rani Umar Dansaki (Assistant General Manager, NEXIM); and a team from Nile University which was led by Prof. Osman Nuri Aras (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Abdulrrahman Isik (Deputy Vice Chancellor), Prof. Benedict Akanegbu (Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences), and Assoc. Prof. Gylych Jelilove (Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences).

The ceremony started with an opening presentation by Prof. Osman explaining the need for a collaboration between the two parties to bridge the gap between academics and the work environment by equipping students with the required knowledge and experience needed to thrive in the labor market. He also added that this effort is not only towards Nile University students, but part of the bigger plan to improve the overall standard of education in Nigeria by setting an example for others to follow.

In response to Prof. Osman’s remarks, Mr. Abubakar Bello said he is very impressed and pleased at the achievements of Nile University within the short period of time since her inception. He further added that NEXIM is more than ready to support Nile University students in every aspect of business administration by providing opportunities for internship and mentorship in areas of marketing and business relations.

The ceremony ended with the official signing of the MoU.
