Nile University’s Lecturer Delivers Career Talk at NTIC

On January 23, Dr. Maruf Aminu, a lecturer in Nile University’s Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, delivered a lecture on Entrepreneurship at the career vision program organized by the Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) for its students. The month-long career vision program is aimed at giving students the necessary knowledge, skills, experience, and mentorship to allow them thrive in the real world.

In his lecture, Dr. Aminu used the success stories of various Nigerian and foreign entrepreneurs like Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Henry Ford, etc. to illustrate the benefits of entrepreneurship to the students. He also listed out the different steps that individuals aspiring to become successful entrepreneurs must follow; they included the formulation of an idea, creation of concrete plans to realize the idea, and execution of the aforementioned plans (taking action). Dr. Aminu also emphasized the importance of hard work in the quest for success in entrepreneurship, stating that only the most hardworking entrepreneurs get to the pinnacle of their careers.

He concluded the lecture with an interactive session during which he fielded the questions of the students.
