Nile University’s Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences in collaboration with Frontierss held a 5-day training on the application of the bioinformatics in drug discovery and development for its staff and students. During the workshop, which ran from March 9-20, participants were taught innovative techniques such as databases exploration, drug target identification, homology modelling, molecular docking, drug likeness analysis, binding pocket prediction, among others.
Overall, it was an exciting and educative workshop that equipped students and staff with invaluable medical skills.
