Nile University of Nigeria Hosts Representatives from KEDGE Business School, France

A two-man delegation from KEDGE Business School, comprising Mr. Thierry Provin (International Operations & Relations Directorate) and Mr. Damien Costello (International Development Manager), visited Nile University of Nigeria on February 28. Receiving the KEDGE team were Prof. Nurettin Can (DVC RICOR), Prof. Ibrahim Keles (Deputy Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences; Director, Corporate Relations), Prof. Alpaslan Toker (HOD, English Studies; Director, International Relations), among others.

Following the exchange of pleasantries and introductions, Mr. Costello stated the purpose of the KEDGE team’s visit, which was to explore areas of potential collaboration with Nile University of Nigeria. According to him, as a school that boasts a high proportion of international students, KEDGE Business School is constantly on the lookout for partnership opportunities with prestigious international Universities like NUN to further their growth and improve their students’ educational experience. A partnership between KEDGE and NUN, he continued, will facilitate expertise sharing, student exchange programs, and other collaboration areas that would prove mutually beneficial for both organizations.

In response, Prof. Can expressed his happiness about the KEDGE team’s proposal and stated that NUN is always open to collaborations with internationally acclaimed academic institutions like the former as part of its efforts to provide its students with an education that equips them with the necessary skills to succeed in the contemporary globalized and highly competitive world. He, however, addressed the need for both institutions to work together to eradicate the barriers—such as visa issues—that may prove a hindrance to the successful establishment of a partnership between both schools.

The meeting ended with both parties agreeing to take the partnership proposals to their respective organizations’ management.
