A delegation from the Chadian Embassy, led by His Excellency Abakar Saleh Chachaimi (Ambassador of the Republic of Chad to Nigeria), paid a visit to Nile University on September 3. Receiving the esteemed guests was a Nile team comprising the Vice-Chancellor (Prof. Osman Nuri Aras), Deputy Vice-Chancellor Admin (Prof. Abdurrahman Isik), Registrar (Mr. Yasar Aktekin), Dean, Faculty of Natural & Applied Sciences (Prof. Moussa Boukar), HOD, Political Science & International Relations (Prof. Ahmet Arabaci), and Director of Distance Learning (Assoc. Prof. Kenan Kapukaya).

The aim of the visit was to continue the partnership talks that begun during a courtesy visit by a Prof. Aras-led Nile team to the Chad Embassy on August 28. Addressing the Chadian delegation, Prof. Aras expressed his happiness at the Honorable Ambassador’s visit to the Nile campus and reiterated Nile University’s interest in partnering with Chadian universities to further the mission of promoting not only Nigeria’s but Africa’s human capital development through high-quality education.

Responding to the VC, HE Chaichimi commended Nile University for its top-notch facilities and diverse course offerings. He also stated his willingness to connect Nile University to the Chadian Ministry of Education as well as the country’s universities to facilitate collaborations on areas such as student exchange programs.

The visit ended with the provision of a tour of the Nile University campus for the visitors.
