Nile University Delegation Visits Voice of Nigeria, Discuss Partnership

A team from Nile University’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) paid a visit to the Voice of Nigeria (VON) to discuss the former’s proposed MoU between both organizations (Nile University and VON). Comprising the Nile delegation were Prof. Ganiyat Adesina-Uthman (Deputy Dean, FASS) and Prof. Osman Koroglu (HoD, Department of Mass Communication). Addressing the hosts, Prof. Koroglu stated that the goal of the proposed MoU was to equip Nile University’s Mass Communication students with industry relevant skills. In response, Alhaji Ahaziah Abubakar Suleiman (Director of News, VON) stated that the proposed partnership was a welcome development and stressed the need for all parties to be aligned on the contents of the proposed MoU to ensure a fruitful collaboration. 

Echoing Alhaji Suleiman’s sentiments was Hajia Sanni (Director, Digital Media, VON), who expressed her delight at the opportunity for university-industry collaboration promised by the proposed MoU. The meeting ended with both parties agreeing to finalize the details of the proposed MoU with their respective organizations’ relevant authorities to facilitate the actualization of the partnership.
