Nigerian Airforce Delegation Visits Nile University

The Vice-Chancellor of Nile University, Prof. Osman Nuri Aras, hosted a two-man team from the Nigerian Airforce (NAF) Headquarters in his office on September 30. The aim of the visit, according to the guests—Group Captain S.A Adelakun (Director of Education, HQ NAF) and AH Garba (Wing Commander)—was to explore areas of potential collaboration between Nile University and the Nigerian Airforce. Of particular importance in this regard were discounts and short training programs.

To this effect, Prof. Aras informed the visitors of the University’s special Postgraduate discount packages for organizations and bespoke short courses/professional development programs. In response, Group Captain Adelakun stated NAF’s interest in organizing training programs for the teachers of their various schools and the organization’s willingness to partner with Nile University in this regard. Replying to Group Captain Adelakun’s comments, Prof. Aras stated that Nile University is ready to organize short training programs for NAF’s teachers as soon as a suitable date is agreed upon by both organizations.

The meeting ended with an agreement by both parties to discuss the proposal with their respective organizations’ managements.

Other members of the Nile team that were present in the meeting were Prof. Ibrahim Keles (Deputy Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences) and Assoc. Prof. Kenan Kapukaya (Senior Lecturer, Department of English Language and Communication Studies).
