The program of this faculty provides top rated university education in the field of law. It provides training in all areas of Law. 

Law students are availed with world class facilities and lecturers with several years of experience both in academia and legal practice in Nigeria. The faculty produces sound graduates worthy in knowledge and character and, thereby, fit and proper for the legal profession. In the faculty, the practical aspect of the legal training is considered as important as the theoretical aspect. Hence, the law clinic and moot court. The Law Clinic provides hands-on legal experience to law students whilst providing probono legal services to persons whom cannot afford legal representation. The moot court provides students with an avenue for healthy competition amongst their peers, which involve reality-stimulated cases to advance their training in advocacy.

The faculty of law wishes to welcome both fresh and continuing students back to school. The faculty is a theatre for academic mentoring where brilliance remains a core value.

Department of Public and International Law

The Public and International Law Department is one of the departments created under the Faculty of Law at Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja. The department is designed to provide our Law students with fundamental knowledge and principles of public and international law. To supplement the classroom experience, the department also creates opportunities that enhance our students’ practical skillsets through our legal clinic and pro bono activities. Students learn individually and collaboratively how to integrate theories, ethics and practical skills of the legal profession in the effective representation of clients. Our Faculty members have rich and diverse backgrounds enabling us to offer a rich and extensive curriculum that is all-encompassing.

Department of Private and Islamic Law

The Department of Private and Islamic Law offers courses under Private and Islamic Law. Private law is that part of a civil law legal system which involves relationships between individuals, such as the Law of Contracts or Torts inter alia. Islamic law, on the other hand, is the religious law governing the members of the Islamic faith. It is derived from the religious precepts of Islam, particularly the Quran and the Hadith.
