The Doctor of Science program in Industrial chemistry is designed to prepare students to be professionals, to develop students’ capacities to understand issues and problems

Study Modules

The student will learn and apply knowledge of the chemical structure and reactivity of industrial catalytic compounds, with particular emphasis placed upon combining reaction kinetics, process conceptualisation and heat and mass transfer.

Phd Industrial Chemistry - FAQs

  1. A candidate who possesses a first-class honors degree in Chemistry or in a related subject is qualified for admission to the PhD programme in Industrial chemistry. The related subject could be Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering. However, for each case enough courses, which include those considered as pre-requisites, must have been taken at the preceding degree level. Along with these conditions, the candidate must also satisfy the general conditions laid down by the University for Postgraduate Admission.
  2. A candidate with a master’s degree in chemistry from Nile University of Nigeria or any other approved institution with an average grade point (C.G.P.A.) of 3.50 or equivalent.

Students will be taught through lectures, seminars and tutorials. They will be required to prepare and make presentations, take-home tests and assignments. There will also be written and oral feedbacks from the Professors.
