To train specialist with the requisite skills required in managing and limiting the outcomes of conflictual relations, to enable the transformation of conflict to opportunities for peace-building and growth. Through a dynamic blend of classical and contemporary courses, the Ph.D. in Conflict, Peace & Strategic Studies sets students on the path to conducting research and proffering solutions on trending topics in our conflict-ridden societies.

  1. All candidates must:
  2. Candidates with recognized master’s degree in the relevant discipline may be admitted to the M.Phil. program as appropriate, on the recommendation of the appropriate Faculty Postgraduate Committee.
  3. Candidates with recognized bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Degree.
  4. Candidates must submit O’Level min. 5 Credits including Mathematics and English.

Teaching is carried out through a combination of interactive lectures supported by seminars, workshops, tutorials, case studies and informal one-to-one discussion. They encourage the development of clear analytical skills and create a forum where you can test your ideas against the arguments of your peers.
