The aim of this postgraduate engineering degree is to develop you into a highly sought-after oil and gas engineering specialist with the skills to rapidly design and commission oilfield installations to meet energy demands.

PGD Petroleum and Gas Engineering - FAQs

  1. University Matriculation of 5 credit passes including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & one other science subject (e.g Further Mathematics, Geography, Technical Drawing, Building Technology, Biology, Agricultural Science  at O-Level; and
  2. Approved Bachelor’s Degrees with at least 3rd class division in a relevant engineering or science discipline; ( Physics, Geology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Water Resources) or;
  3. Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) with at least upper credit;
  4. Higher National Diploma (HND) in / Water Resources Engineering with at least lower credit.
  5. Higher National Diploma (HND) in Petroleum Engineering with at least a credit.

Holders of the HND at lower credit with a minimum of five (5) years post-qualification relevant experience may also be considered.

Modules will be taught using the typical teaching methods, through lectures, tutorials, seminars, workshops, ICT laboratory and simulations.
