Nile has been a good fit for me. The nice balance between fundamental molecular biology research and driving practical applications in the Biotechnology department as well as the modern labs make Nile the right place for me to gain the necessary knowledge to become successful in the Biotechnology field.

The course is going to be taught majorly by lectures through presentation and the use of other teaching aids.  Laboratory sections will be scheduled where applicable.

Various biotechnology careers include forensic DNA analyst, scientist, clinical research associate etc. Here are some of the career opportunities with a degree in biotechnology:

Laboratory Research Careers

Discovery Research: Could include protein chemists, geneticists, biochemists, etc.

Animal Science Specialists: Grow cultures, make and purify DNA, and conduct early stages of testing when a drug’s safety is determined via animal testing.

Bioinformatics: Data analysts who combine the biological sciences with information technology who aid discovery researchers in identifying the most promising drug candidates. The three realms of activity in bioinformatics include: creating databases to store/manage large sets of data; developing algorithms and statistics to determine relationships among datasets; or using these tools to analyze and interpret biological data.
