Centre for Lifelong Learning (CELL)

The center, by using the scientific potential, conducts works based on the request of individuals, institutions or organizations.

The center, in addition to the seminars organized for the staff and students of the University, also organizes seminars, courses, advisory programs and projects for interested third parties. Similarly, the center performs activities to facilitate the employment of the students who graduated from the university and maintains relationships with its alumni.

 

To provide consultancy for NUN business improvement as well as consultation to expand and/or diversify current businesses and develop new skills to improve businesses and to prepare projects;

 

With the purpose to realize, the goal envisaged in CELL within its field of activity the center undertakes:

 

  • Organization of seminars and courses: seminars and courses to develop the individuals, institutions or organizations;

 

  • Counseling service; services in order to transmit new ideas and practices within organizations and individuals;

 

  • Realization of projects; implementation of projects in different areas of expertise;

 

  • Organization of Graduate Degree Programs through qualification courses and accredited training modules;

 

  • Organization of accredited programs for teachers, lecturers, medical staff, lawyers and other related professional groups.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT FOR NON-FINANCIAL MANAGERS: (Analyze and evaluate inflation and risk environments) The aim of the Program is to give basic financial issues to the managers who are in charge of management, to gain ability of interpreting simple financial statements and to gain the professional financial management in managing company.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (HRM) Human efforts and minds are the main contributors of every product or services. No product or service can be produced without help of human being. Human being is the fundamental resource for production of anything. Nowadays many professionals claim that technology and machines are substituting human resource and minimizing their effort or role. Although, machines and technology are created by the humans and need to be operated or supervised by humans. Because of that, some companies have been searching for talented, skilled and qualified professionals for further development of machines and technology, which again have to be monitored, or controlled by the humans for better services. Human Resource Management (HRM) is the term used to describe formal systems devised for the management of people within an organization. The responsibilities of a human resource manager fall into three major areas: staffing, employee compensation and benefits, and designing work. Basically, the objective of HRM is to increase the productivity of an organization by optimizing the effectiveness of its employees. Thus, the HRM program is of vital role to staff development, because the main aim of the training is to achieve, develop, and maintain talent; align the workforce with the business; and be an excellent player in the business field.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (BM): Business management is the use of management tools combined in order to achieve the desired outcomes that are, imposed at a particular business. While it does not differ too much from what is perhaps the business, business management may be a little more complex to develop, and this is mainly due to a particular business does not have all the resources that company do have. Anyway, we must bear in mind that today, the success of the business management depends on purely and exclusively on accounting and financial information concerning the same, since having a medium that ensures proper access to it is key members to take all decisions necessary to guide the management of business along the path that will take it to the achievement of different goals. Carry out proper business management requires certain resources similar to those used in the management of companies, but the most important of these is a system that allows you to manage the information required to manage business.

PROJECT CYCLE MANAGEMENT: The process in which projects are designed and executed follows a series commencing with an arranged strategy leading to an idea for a specific action. The action is oriented towards achieving a set of goals, which is then planned, implemented, monitored, and evaluated. Project management is a technical perspective of achieving planned outcomes within a specified period with defined resources. It consists of enacting knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to a collection of activities in order to fulfill the requirements of a project. The objectives of project cycle management (PCM) include cost, performance, and time. The main priority of these is to meet expectations, complete, and deliver the budgeted projects on time. The 16-hour PCM program is beneficial in realizing these goals by giving staff proper coaching on how to develop their skills on managing project activities.

INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT): Progress in technology is the motive power behind job creation, economic growth, and societal engagement. Specifically, Information and communication technology (ICT) is reforming almost every aspect of global economy. ICT refers to all the technology used in broadcasting media, handling telecommunications, intelligent building management systems, network-based control and monitoring functions. ICT has recently been used to describe the aggregation of several technologies and the use of common transmission lines carrying very diverse data and communication types and formats. The ICT program will enable public and private officials in the academic and non-academic sector to utilize the transformative power of ICT in providing more efficient services and strengthen economic growth.

EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP (EML) PROGRAM: The main purpose of good management and leadership is to provide proper, effective and sustainable services to the people. These can only be accomplished if the key management and leadership concepts for service provision like human resources and financial aspects are carefully coordinated. This program will benefit professionals at all levels in executing productive ideas to their managerial and leadership activities. It will provide pragmatic skills to overcoming day-to-day problems by teaching up-to-date perspectives and principles of effective management and leadership. The 15-hour program covers the most crucial aspects of effective management and leadership in general, and then outlines relevant considerations like critical management skills, leadership & management challenges, cognitive problem solving and strategic leadership for staff development.

EFFECTIVE BUSINESS COMMUNICATION (EBC) SKILLS: Strong Business Communication skills are critical to the success of any organization despite its size, geographical location, and its mission. Business communication is intertwined with the internal culture and external image of any organization. It therefore determines what is communicated by whom, and at what level in the organization. Ultimately, good business communication practices assist the organization in achieving its objectives by informing, persuading and building good will within both the internal environment and, the external environment. If organizations are to survive and prosper in the rapidly changing global environment, they must continually change the way communication processes are structured and delivered. This program helps participants to learn more about communication issues in doing business.
