Nile University Organizes Training for Nigerian Airforce Teachers

On November 30th, Nile University of Nigeria commenced a 4-day training seminar for the Nigerian Airforce’s Abuja School teachers titled “21st Century Teacher Training Seminar Series.”. The training was facilitated by Assoc. Prof. Kenan Kapukaya (HOD, English Language and Communication Studies), Dr. Ahmed Adamu (Senior Lecturer, Economics Department), Dr. Hauwa Lamino Abubakar (Lecturer, Management Department), Prof. Osman Koroglu (HOD, Mass Communication), among others.

The training started with a brief introduction of the trainers by Prof. Osman Nuri Aras (Vice-Chancellor, Nile University of Nigeria). Following the introduction, Prof. Aras gave an address, during which he expressed his delight about the training as well as his hope that it will make a great impact on the trainees. Subsequently, Assoc. Prof. Kenan (program facilitator) stated the purpose of the program, which, according to him, is to equip the trainees to become better teachers and improve their knowledge in the following areas: collaboration and teamwork, creativity and imagination, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Assoc. Prof. Kenan also stated that by the end of the program, the trainees would have become equipped with effective leadership skills in the academic environment.

The training commenced following Assoc. Prof. Kenan’s address. The program is scheduled to end on December 3rd, after which certificates will be awarded to the attendees.
