Nile University Hosts Delegation from Al-Ansar Foundation

A delegation from Al-Ansar Foundation visited Nile University on July 25. The Al-Ansar team— which was led by the Foundation’s Founder/President, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa—was welcomed by a Nile team comprising the Vice-Chancellor (Prof. Osman Nuri Aras), Registrar (Mr. Yasar Aktekin), and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics (Prof. Abdurrahman Isik), among others.

Following the introductions and exchange of pleasantries, Dr. Kyari stated the purpose of his team’s visit, which was to inform the Nile senior leadership team of the proposed Al-Ansar University and to tap into the latter’s wealth of experience in the educational sector to establish a successful university.

According to Dr. Kyari, having witnessed and played a major role in Nile University’s rapid growth into one of Nigeria’s premier institutions within its relatively short period of existence, the Nile University senior leadership team was well-placed to offer the Al-Ansar delegates valuable advice on how to form and run a successful university.

Responding to Dr. Kyari’s comments, Prof. Aras expressed his delight at the Al-Ansar team’s choice of Nile University as a worthy option to model their proposed University after. He also stated his (and his team’s) willingness to provide the necessary advice and support to the visitors to help them in their quest to establish a thriving university. To this effect, the Nile team provided the visitors useful advice on issues like staffing, financing, accreditation, class size, student-teacher ratio, to name a few.

At the end of the meeting, the visitors were given a tour of the Nile campus.
