A delegation from Nile University of Nigeria visited the Energy Commission of Nigeria earlier today to promote the University’s School of Postgraduate Studies and discuss a potential collaboration with the ECN. During the visit, the Nile team, comprising Dr. Sadiq Thomas (HOD, Computer Engineering) and Miss Ijeoma Ezima (PR Officer), acquainted the ECN’s management team—which included the Director General of the Commission (Prof. Eli Jidere Bala)—about Nile University’s Postgraduate programs and competitive advantages.

Addressing the hosts during her presentation, Miss Ezima cited Nile University’s attractive discounts, fully accredited programs, internationally trained Nigerian and expatriate lecturers, flexible lecture hours, and serene environment, among others as factors responsible for the University’s attractiveness to students seeking to pursue a Postgraduate degree. She also urged the members of the ECN management team that were present at the event to visit Nile University of Nigeria at a convenient time to get a first-hand experience of the campus.

Following Miss Ezima’s presentation was a short address by Dr. Thomas, who stated the willingness of Nile University to partner with the ECN in the area of expertise sharing, etc. Responding to the Nile representatives’ addresses, the DG of the ECN, Prof. Bala, commended Nile University’s efforts in facilitating national development through the provision of high-quality education to Nigerian citizens.

He also stated that the ECN is willing to enter into a collaboration with Nile University of Nigeria. According to him, the ECN has been partnering with universities for a good number of years to bridge the gap between academia and the industry, and a collaboration with Nile University will be another significant milestone in that regard.
