Nile University and University of Social Sciences, Poland Explore Avenues for Collaboration

Representatives from the University of Social Sciences, Poland (Clarke University in Poland) visited Nile University of Nigeria on October 28, to discuss a potential partnership between both institutions. Receiving the delegation from Poland was a Nile team comprising Prof. Nurettin Can (DVC, RICOR), Prof. Kemal Ozden (Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies), Prof. Ibrahim Keles (Deputy Dean, FAMS), Prof. Alpaslan Toker (Director, International Relations), and Assoc. Prof. Gylich Jelilov (Dean, FASS). Speaking on behalf of the visitors, Prof. Lukasz Sulkowski (Vice-Rector for Science and Internationalisation; Clark University Branch Campus Director) outlined the numerous benefits a collaboration would have for both Universities. Some advantages he listed in this regard included expertise sharing through staff exchange, improved learning experience for students through student exchange programs and dual degree programs, etc. Reacting to Prof. Sulkowski’s remarks, Prof. Alpaslan Toker expressed his satisfaction with the former’s proposal, stating that Nile University is always open to fantastic opportunities to improve the experiences of its students as well as its visibility on the international stage. The meeting ended with the presentation of gifts to the visitors.
