Bamidele Omolayo, Nile University’s remaining representative (following the earlier elimination of John Dickson and Joel Sylvester) at the ongoing VEMP National Open, qualified for the women’s doubles final after recording a 6-3/6-0 victory in the semi-finals. Her victory puts her on course to win a second women’s doubles final at a major national tennis tournament within a week, having claimed the women’s doubles title at the recently concluded Rainoil Tennis Open in Lagos. Omolayo is scheduled to play her final match later today.
